John has just formed JVCE Pty Ltd in August 2020 to provide a service to companies both inside and outside Australia that require a local business manager presence in Perth. He has over 30 years of experience in geophysical, geological and engineering software which is used every day in the energy, mining & geothermal sectors.
The requirement for local support and advice is more critical than ever, with the travel restrictions due to COVID-19 and vendors cutting staff or moving services outside of Australia. My role is to reverse this process for the benefit of the technical community who rely on advanced software in their work. I believe it is critical to be able to access the latest science and technology available in the global market through software and services. The challenges faced here in Australia are significant and a strong relationship with your vendors is essential. To begin with my focus will be Australia and as circumstances allow I will start to work again in the SE Asia market.
